Description
Originally collected in Bali, this beautiful Lotus has dark red flowers and will flower in cooler weather.
Height: 36″ to 48″
Depth: 3″ to 18″
Lotus, sacred flower of the Hindus, produce round aerial leaves that stand 18” to 4ft above the water. The exotic fragrant blossoms produce the unusual seed pod seen in many flower arrangements. Lotus require many weeks of sunny, warm weather, large containers and rich soil in order to bloom well. In winter the plant must be moved deep enough to protect it from freezing. A water depth of 1” over the soil line is ideal in spring. As growth becomes established, water depth may be increased to 3” to 18”.
